About Scentsy

What is Scentsy

Scentsy offers 80 different scented wax bars to choose from & three different sizes of warmers in many different styles. Each Scentsy bar lasts between 40 to 80 hours, providing excellent value. With that kind of selection and value, there is something for everyone!

Your Scentsy warmer will fill your home with a wonderful, inviting fragrance & give you peace of mind, knowing that you are not creating a danger or hazard. You won’t have to drive half way down the street & wonder if you blew the candle out. You won’t have to worry about your children or pets burning themselves - & at the same time, your home will smell fantastic!

What are wickless candles?

A wickless candle is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. Plus, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to traditional candles. They can be used in day care centers, retirement or nursing homes & dorm rooms.

How is the wax warmed?

Scentsy’s beautiful ceramic warmers house a low-watt light bulb that slowly melts the Scentsy Bar filling your home with one of more than 80 unique, long-lasting scents.

How do I change the wax in a Scentsy Warmer?

For a Full- or Mid-Size Scentsy Warmer, turn the Warmer off first. Then, carefully pour liquid wax back into the original package if it is still fragrant & you’d like to reuse it, or into a disposable container if you would like throw it away. Wipe the dish out with a paper towel & you are ready to start with a new fragrance. For a Plug-In Scentsy Warmer, turn the unit off for 30-60 seconds & carefully use a paper towel to wipe the wax out of the warmer. Another method, is to turn off the warmer & insert a Grab-Tab to easily remove your wax.

What type of wax do we use & why?

“Many customers have asked about the wax we use & why. Here is the scoop. We use a food-grade petroleum based wax. We chose this wax because of it’s superior scent loading ability, melt point & firmness. We looked into vegetable based waxes, & we just couldn’t get a quality candle bar. The issue of vegetable vs. petroleum waxes is raised primarily by vegetable wax candle makers because of the health risk associated with “burning” petroleum waxes. Most of the scientific research I have read (as opposed to sales literature) suggests that there are plenty of health issues with burning candles of any type of wax. Switching to vegetable-based waxes does not seem to reduce the health risks as much as the veggie wax people would like us to believe. The Scentsy solution is simply not to “burn” the wax. The wax is not burned, & therefore, not released into the air to pollute our lungs, walls & furniture.” Orville Thompson Co-CEO of Scentsy
